Jordan, UAE launch massive humanitarian campaigns to aid vulnerable Palestinians in Gaza during Holy Month of Ramadan

The countries of Jordan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have substantially increased their humanitarian aid deliveries to the Gaza Strip during the Islamic holy month of Ramadan. According to reports from state media in the UAE, the country conducted its 13th airdrop over inaccessible areas in northern Gaza, delivering 24 tons of essential relief supplies and food items. This is aimed at helping address the dire needs of Palestinian civilians in the blockaded coastal enclave. In addition, the third Emirati aid ship has begun its journey to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish, carrying a massive consignment of 4,630 tons of relief materials intended for Gaza.

Meanwhile, Jordan has also stepped up its efforts during Ramadan by initiating multiple aid operations. The Jordanian army carried out six humanitarian and food airdrops over northern Gaza on Sunday. These special operations involved aircraft from several friendly countries, including the Royal Jordanian Air Force as well as planes from Egypt, the United States, Germany, and Singapore. In a show of goodwill and support, the aircraft helped in delivering urgent relief resources. Furthermore, the Jordan Hashemite Charity Organization coordinated with the army to send a convoy of 25 trucks loaded with assistance to Gaza. The trucks braved the difficult journey to help the most vulnerable populations fast during the holy month.

The Jordanian military has reaffirmed its pledge to continue supporting such aid deliveries from its Marka Airport in Amman to El Arish International Airport in Egypt. This facilitates both the airdrops over Gaza as well as organizing ground convoys transporting aid into the Territory. The people of Gaza have been under an Israeli-led blockade for years and are therefore dependent on humanitarian assistance. By enhancing relief efforts during Ramadan, Jordan and the UAE aim to help address the immense suffering of Palestinians and honor the month's spirit of giving and compassion.
