EAM Jaishankar discusses Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with hensive-strategic-partner

 



External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar met with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in India to discuss expanding the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. During the meeting, Jaishankar emphasized that India and the UAE share a very special relationship which has deepened substantially in recent years under the leadership of Prime Ministers Narendra Modi and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. 


He noted that bilateral trade between India and UAE has already reached $80 billion but there remains significant potential to take it up to $100 billion in the near future. Both sides acknowledged the important role played by over 3.5 million strong Indian community in facilitating stronger ties. 


Jaishankar also invited the UAE Foreign Minister to visit India at an early date. Sheikh Abdullah accepted the invitation while expressing appreciation for the warmth and graciousness extended during the visit. He said the UAE values its partnership with India and wants to explore new opportunities across multiple sectors including trade, investment, energy, food security and others.


The meeting highlights the growing importance of the India-UAE comprehensive strategic partnership. Both countries see great potential for elevating cooperation across different areas and strengthening people-to-people connections.
