These tech jobs are most in-demand in the UAE right now

Dubai is rapidly becoming a global hub for technological advancement, propelled by visionary projects such as the Dubai Creek Tower and Marsa Al Arab. These developments symbolize the city's commitment to innovation and its aspiration to lead the global shift towards a technologically driven future. The government's strategic initiatives and substantial investments in infrastructure have positioned Dubai as a pioneer in adopting cutting-edge technologies, making it an attractive destination for businesses and tech enthusiasts worldwide.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) job market demonstrated remarkable resilience and swift recovery from the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic. Government measures played a pivotal role in this recovery, offering incentives that encouraged companies to establish and expand their operations within the region. This proactive approach not only stabilized the job market but also fostered a conducive environment for growth and innovation. The positive business climate has significantly contributed to the UAE's reputation as a burgeoning tech hub, drawing international interest and investment.

According to Oliver Kowalski, Managing Director of Hays Middle East, the technology sector in the UAE is poised for substantial growth, with 67% of tech employers anticipating an increase in their workforce, often by more than 10%. This optimistic outlook is further supported by the Cooper Fitch 2024 UAE Salary Guide, which highlights artificial intelligence, software development, and data science as among the top 10 skills in demand. The surge in demand for these skills underscores the UAE's strategic focus on becoming a leader in the digital economy.

By the end of this decade, artificial intelligence alone is expected to contribute an impressive $96 billion to the UAE’s economy, reflecting the nation's strategic investment in this transformative technology. In the IT industry, the most sought-after roles include project manager, software developer, chief technology officer, and head of IT. Additionally, technical skills such as Oracle Fusion, Java, Python, and test automation are highly valued. These trends highlight the UAE's commitment to fostering a skilled workforce capable of driving technological innovation and maintaining its competitive edge in the global market.
