Chilean President Visit to Boost Ties with UAE

 


The Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font is currently on an official visit to the UAE This visit will help strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations In the first day of the visit UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan accorded a warm welcome to the Chilean President at Qasr Al Watan in Abu Dhabi. 


In the MEETING both leaders discussed ways to expand cooperation across various sectors like trade economy energy and investments Chile is an important trade partner of UAE in Latin America Both nations want to increase bilateral trade and diversify their economic engagement There are also opportunities for joint investments in key industries.


The visit is taking place at a time when both UAE and Chile are working towards post pandemic economic recovery Cooperating closely will help their nations progress faster Areas like infrastructure tourism renewable energy agriculture and technology were identified as promising areas for partnerships Startups and SMEs could benefit through collaboration.


Cultural and educational exchanges were also on the agenda. People to people contacts and understanding each other cultures will deepen ties Scholarship programs university collaborations and tourism promotion were discussed Since UAE is a hub for trade and business ties with Chile assists its goal to engage with Latin America and the Pacific region.  


International coordination was another important point of discussion Both nations can enhance collaboration at global forums like the UN to address issues like climate change sustainability food security etc Their shared moderate and progressive outlook helps take balanced approaches.
