The Global Peace Index GPI analyzes trends in peace across different countries worldwide every year According to the 2016 report UAE has secured an appreciable ranking within the Middle East and North Africa region Out of over 160 nations assessed UAE placed 61st globally reflecting its ongoing efforts to nurture an atmosphere of peace internally as well as contribute positively towards regional harmony. 

Key factors that helped UAE achieve this recognition include low levels of violent crimes political instability and terrorist activities within its borders UAE ranks last in weapons imports preferring more constructive resolution of disputes. Its policies of inclusiveness among diverse populations through initiatives promoting tolerance and interfaith understanding have fostered domestic cohesion Economic growth has been coupled with low crime rates to stabilize the domestic situation.

While threats cannot be dismissed UAE proactive vision has ensured law and order domestically. This supports its progress as well as safeguards stability in the turbulent MENA region.
