Lana Nusseibeh who is the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs in UAE has called for immediate ceasefire in Sudan She said that there needs to be a stop in fighting and violence across Sudan Nusseibeh mentioned this in a recent interview on CNN

She also called for cross-border and cross line access for humanitarian aid throughout Sudan This means that aid agencies and groups helping people should be allowed to freely move between areas and borders to provide relief items like food, medicine and shelter to those who need it Many parts of Sudan have seen conflict and people are suffering from lack of basic needs.

The UAE official further said that Sudan needs a political process that leads to civilian transition This likely refers to the ongoing protests by civilians demanding transition to democratic elected government There has been military rule in Sudan for long and protesters want removal of military influence from politics Nusseibeh supports dialogue and solution agreeable to both military and civilian groups.
