UAE and Jordan strengthen railway cooperation



The governments of UAE and Jordan are working together to improve railway infrastructure The two countries recently signed an investment agreement that will boost partnership in developing rail networks. 


Both countries want to build rail lines that link important locations like mines ports and industrial areas This will help move goods and materials more efficiently Jordan has mines that produce phosphate and potash fertilizers A new railway can transport these important products from the mines to the port of Aqaba for export. 


A company from UAE called Etihad Rail will help Jordan with constructing and operating their railway system Etihad Rail is experienced in building rail lines as they developed the UAE's national railway network They will share their expertise and knowledge with Jordan. 


The railway project will connect mines in Jordan to the port along a route over 360 km long It is expected to start transporting fertilizers within five years This can raise Jordan exports and help their economy Many new jobs will also be made available during the construction and operations of the rail line.


Both countries are good friends and want each other to prosper Strong cooperation in important sectors like transport will be mutually beneficial The agreements show their commitment to collaborate on developing infrastructure and boosting trade Once complete the railway will improve logistics and make exports from Jordan's mines more efficient.


The partnership aims to upgrade Jordan transport network using high quality international standards New terminals and maintenance facilities will also be constructed This railway linkage is an important step for both nations economic growth and progress in the region.
