Fostering Unity and Tolerance: Pakistan's Envoy to the UAE Leads the Way

 


The Pakistan Embassy in the United Arab Emirates recently organized an event to commemorate Pakistan National Day. This annual celebration was attended by members of the Pakistani community, including women, children, and embassy officials, all coming together to honor their shared heritage and values.



The ceremony began with the flag raising ceremony led by Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi followed by the playing of the national anthem. The event also featured the reading of messages from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of this important day in the nation's history.



In his remarks Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the long and heroic struggle that resulted in Pakistan's independence. He stressed the crucial need for unity, tolerance, and harmony within Pakistani society to address the country's economic challenges and work towards a more stable and prosperous future.



The ambassador also reiterated Pakistan's firm stance on the right to self-determination for the people of India-held Kashmir and Palestine, noting their decades-long suffering under the occupation of foreign forces. He underscored the strong bilateral relations between Pakistan and the UAE, and the vital role played by Pakistanis in the progress and prosperity of the Emirates.



Recognizing the valuable contributions of Pakistanis living in the UAE, the ambassador urged the community members to continue being valuable assets to the UAE society, upholding the local laws, rules, and norms. He praised their resilience in overcoming economic hurdles and supporting Pakistan's economy through their efforts.



The event's focus on unity, tolerance, and harmony resonates with the UAE's own commitment to fostering a culture of tolerance. As the two nations continue to strengthen their ties, the Pakistan Embassy's celebration of Pakistan National Day serves as a testament to the shared values and aspirations that bind the people of Pakistan and the UAE together, setting an example for the world.
