Overcoming Adversity How the UAE Became a Beacon of Hope for Palestinian and Ukrainian Students
The UAE A Lifeline for Students Amid Conflict Amina Al Dababsekh a Palestinian and Ukrainian student, and Mohammed Abdalbari a Palestinian student were both faced with the daunting task of pursuing their dreams of becoming doctors amidst the chaos of war in their home countries. Just as their aspirations seemed to crumble the UAE stepped in and provided them with a lifeline a chance to start over and fulfill their ambitions.
A Multicultural Environment for Growth The transition to the UAE was not easy for Amina as she had to leave behind the familiarity of Ukraine where she had started her medical journey and built her dreams. However the multicultural environment and state of the art facilities at Gulf Medical University GMU in Ajman helped her adapt and thrive. Amina is now looking forward to specializing in neurology driven by a desire to contribute to healthcare globally while supporting Ukraine and Palestine.
