Sharjah Ruler Celebrates UAE-Kuwait Ties

 


The Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al-Qasimi, has hailed the close relationship between the UAE and Kuwait. While receiving the Kuwaiti General Consul to the UAE, Ali Al-Dhaydi, during a reception, Sheikh Sultan drew on the close cultural and social relations between the two peoples. His remarks came during the end of tenure of the consul in the UAE, a moment considered very important in the annals of diplomatic relations.


Sheikh Sultan highlighted the UAE-Kuwait relations, given their shared history and mutual respect. He described the ties as important for the expansion of cooperation in various fields of culture, education, and trade. The Ruler's comments reflect a broader wish to achieve cohesion across the GCC region.


The GCC was formed with six members: UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, and Oman, for common economic and political interests. The unity of the Gulf region needs to be ripe for prosperity.
