Pakistan-UAE Trade Conference 2025 Strengthens Bilateral Economic Ties
The Pakistan-UAE Trade Conference 2025 was recently held at the Pakistan Association Dubai, organized by the Consulate General of Pakistan in collaboration with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP). The event aimed to enhance trade relations between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) by providing a platform for businesses to explore collaborative ventures.
The conference saw participation from a diverse group of international delegates, including Pakistani exhibitors from Gulfood 2025 and key stakeholders from the business community. Attendees included diplomats and business representatives from countries such as the USA, Egypt, Iran, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Peru, Nigeria, and China, highlighting the global interest in strengthening economic ties with Pakistan.
In his welcome address, Trade & Investment Counsellor Ali Zeb Khan emphasized the conference's objective of creating networking opportunities for businesses. He highlighted the importance of such initiatives in unlocking new avenues for economic cooperation and fostering partnerships that could lead to mutual growth.
Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, Pakistan’s Envoy to the UAE, delivered the keynote address, underscoring the UAE's significance as one of Pakistan's strategic trade partners. He noted the consistent growth in Pakistan's exports to the UAE, particularly in agro-based products, and encouraged exporters to capitalize on the strong demand for high-quality Pakistani goods in the UAE market.
TDAP's Director General, Athar Hussain Khokhar, discussed the diverse range of Pakistani agro-based products and their increasing demand in international markets. He reiterated TDAP's commitment to supporting exporters and facilitating trade initiatives that would enhance Pakistan's global trade potential.
The event concluded with a networking session, allowing exhibitors and delegates to engage in meaningful discussions and explore potential collaborations. Such interactions are expected to foster partnerships with UAE-based businesses and further strengthen the economic relationship between Pakistan and the UAE.
