Pakistan Navy’s PNS Yarmook Participates in UAE Defense Exhibitions

The Pakistan Navy’s ship, PNS Yarmook, took part in the International Defense Exhibition (IDEX) and Naval Defense Exhibition (NAVDEX) in Abu Dhabi. These events, held from February 21 to 25, 2025, brought together global defense experts, companies, and officials. The exhibitions showcased the latest defense technologies and allowed countries to strengthen military ties.

When PNS Yarmook arrived in Abu Dhabi, it was warmly received by Pakistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Faisal Niaz Tirmizi. The ship’s commanding officer met with officials from different countries to discuss defense cooperation. These meetings helped in strengthening Pakistan’s ties with friendly nations and exploring future partnerships.

During the exhibitions, PNS Yarmook was open for visits, and many high-ranking officials from various countries toured the ship. Important guests included ministers from the UAE, Romania, and Yemen, along with naval chiefs from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Egypt. The CEO of DAMEN Shipyard also visited the ship, showing interest in Pakistan’s naval capabilities.

Pakistan’s participation in NAVDEX 2025 highlights its commitment to global maritime security. By attending these exhibitions, the Pakistan Navy showcased its strength and readiness while building relations with international defense forces. It also allowed Pakistan to explore new opportunities for defense collaboration with other nations.

After completing its participation, PNS Yarmook conducted a passage exercise with the UAE Navy Ship Al-Emarat. These joint exercises improve cooperation and coordination between the two navies. Such drills help both countries in working together to maintain security at sea.

PNS Yarmook frequently takes part in international naval exercises to support regional security. In July 2024, it was deployed to protect commercial ships arriving at Pakistani ports. Later, in August 2024, the ship participated in naval drills in Bahrain, further strengthening Pakistan’s defense relationships with friendly countries.
