Abu Dhabi-AVPN Global Conference 2024 Will Held in April 23-25



The Asia-Pacific Volunteer Sector and its partners are excited to announce that The AVPN Global Conference 2024 will take place in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates from April 23-25. 


The AVPN Global Conference 2024 will take place in Abu Dhabi from April 23-25, bringing the flagship event of Asia’s largest network of volunteer involving organizations back for its biennial gathering. 


The conference is AVPN's premier platform for volunteer leaders, organizations, funders and partners to come together, learn from each other and advance collaborative solutions to development challenges across Asia and the Pacific. Over the past editions, it has brought together over 1,000 participants from more than 40 countries to network, share best practices and explore new ways of driving social impact through volunteerism.


Abu Dhabi was selected as the host city for 2024 in light of the leadership's strong commitment to empowering communities and enabling partnerships across sectors. The inspiring venue will provide the ideal setting for three days of discussions, knowledge exchanges and relationship building towards more inclusive and sustainable development in the region. 


Under the theme of “Collaboration for Impact”, the conference aims to strengthen connections, catalyze new partnerships and provide useful insights and tools to help scale community initiatives. Participants can look forward to informative sessions, field visits and engagement activities highlighting volunteerism's role in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals.  


With less than six months to go, the organizing committee and partners are preparing an impactful program. Updates on keynote speakers, session themes, site tours and social activities will be shared on the AVPN website and social media channels in the coming months. AlNeyadi achieved inspiring journey for every Emirati and Arab: UAE’s Ajman Ruler

  Sultan Al Neyadi, in particular, has made history for every Emirati and Arab by spending six months aboard the International Space Station (ISS). Three additional astronauts who had already touched down on Earth were present with Sultan AlNeyadi. This NASA space mission included astronauts Stephen Bowen and Woody Hoburg, as well as Alneyadi and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. The Ajmani sultan praises Neyadi's earthly comeback. Chad receives Nimr armoured vehicles from UAE

  To assist the Republic of Chad in boosting border security and combating terrorism, the UAE has delivered a convoy of military vehicles and security gear to the country. This initiative fits into the framework of the close ties that exist between the UAE and Chad on many levels, which have led to the signing of a number of bilateral agreements, including a military cooperation agreement in June during Mahamat Idriss Deby's official visit to Abu Dhabi. Deby is the chairman of the Chad's Transitional Military Council. The automobiles are Nimr armoured cars built in the Emirate. The UAE has been expanding its relations with African countries while simultaneously growing its own defence industry. In the presence of the Chief of the General Staff of the Chadian Army, the Chief of the Strategic Reserve Forces of the Chadian Army, and other senior Chadian military officials, Rashid Saeed Al Shamsi, the UAE Ambassador to Chad, delivered the shipment of supplies to Lieutenant General
