Pakistan Pavilion at GITEX Global 2022



The Pakistan Pavilion was inaugurated at GITEX Global 2022, one of the largest tech exhibitions in the world, being held in Dubai World Trade Centre. Pakistan's Ambassador to UAE Faisal Niaz Tirmizi was the chief guest and inaugurated the pavilion. 


The pavilion highlighted the growing IT industry of Pakistan and the opportunities it provides for investors and partners. Different IT companies from Pakistan have set up stalls at the pavilion to showcase their products services and capabilities. Startups are also present to pitch their innovative solutions. 


Ambassador Faisal in his speech spoke about Pakistan young population and their potential in the digital economy He said IT exports from Pakistan have shown strong growth and there are plans to further boost this sector. The government is developing several special technology zones to facilitate new investments.


Visitors at the Pakistan Pavilion included officials from ministry of IT diplomats and global tech companies. They showed keen interest in exploring partnership and investment opportunities in the country Pakistan competitively skilled human resources and several fiscal incentives for investors were appreciated.


Being hosted in Dubai helps maximize Pakistans visibility amongst its key trading partners in the Gulf. Many UAE and Gulf based companies are looking to tap into new growth markets like Pakistan. The pavilion is a platform for B2B engagement and deals between the two sides.


Overall the inauguration of the Pakistan Pavilion at GITEX sets the stage for more cooperation and collaboration between Pakistan and global ICT companies. It aims to position the country as an emerging hub for tech talent outsourcing and innovative solutions.

Strengthening Trade Relations Between China and the UAE

  Recently Premier Li Qiang of China visited the United Arab Emirates UAE to discuss ways to deepen trade ties between the two countries. During his meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan Li emphasized the importance of cooperation in key sectors such as new energy, electric vehicles and the digital economy This visit is part of Li's broader Middle East tour and highlights the growing relationship between China and the UAE. UAE ranks 7th globally in 2024 World Competitiveness Report
