Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi Attends Suhoor Event at Ismaili Centre Dubai

 


Ambassador of Pakistan to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Faisal Niaz Tirmizi, participated in a Suhoor event organized by the Ismaili Centre Dubai. This gathering aligned with the UAE's designation of 2025 as the "Year of Community," aiming to foster dialogue and cooperation among various nations and organizations.

During the event, a special panel discussion titled "Building and Strengthening Global Communities" was held. Ambassador Tirmizi joined Samuel K. Njuguna, First Counselor of the Republic of Kenya, and Aziz Merchant, President of the Ismaili Community in the UAE, in this insightful conversation. The session was moderated by Nadia Virji, Executive Director at Expo City Dubai.

Ambassador Tirmizi highlighted the significant contributions of the Pakistani community to the UAE's development since the early 1960s, particularly in sectors such as communications, banking, education, and infrastructure. He praised the UAE leadership's initiative to declare 2025 as the Year of Community and reaffirmed the Pakistani diplomatic mission's commitment to supporting this vision.

He also commended the exemplary community services of the Pakistan Medical Centre under the Pakistan Association Dubai, which provides quality and free medical assistance to deserving patients of all nationalities. Additionally, he lauded the humanitarian efforts of the Aga Khan Development Network in improving the quality of life for those in need, regardless of faith or gender.

Aziz Merchant emphasized that the Aga Khan Development Network remains committed to serving humanity without discrimination, guided by principles of compassion, inclusivity, and volunteerism. The event underscored the importance of promoting shared values, intercultural dialogue, and collaboration in building strong global communities.

The Suhoor gathering at the Ismaili Centre Dubai served as a platform to strengthen ties among diverse communities, reflecting the UAE's dedication to fostering unity and cooperation among different cultures and nationalities.
